A family's dedication to preservation
The journey of Thoroughbred Genetics began with my great-grandfather, who cultivated in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky during the seventies and early eighties. It was his unwavering commitment that ensured these precious strains survived. His favorite was Kentucky Bluegrass, cultivating it for years. Then in 1972 he acquired some original Haze seeds from California, brought back by my uncle from his time on the California surf scene. Amidst moonshine operations and growing, he made a living navigating these back roads with the law always on his heels. If it was not for my great grandfather I would not have any of these old school genetics, this old man saved seeds his whole life, deep freezers full of jars.
After he passed we decided as a family to reproduce and release these to the public, to allow his legacy to live on thru these seeds. As we reproduce these seeds they will become available here on our website. Stay tuned as we have well over 20 different strains we are bringing back to life!
